Apple Health and Health Connect connections are optional. GRITFIT must ask before reading any supported health category, and access is limited by the categories you approve on the device.
During the current beta, connected-health and Cloud Step History features are available to age-verified adults and to users aged 16 or 17 only after the teen gives affirmative agreement and a parent or guardian separately authorises connected health through the guardian email flow.
If you enable a connection, GRITFIT may read supported activity, workout, step, heart-rate, sleep, distance or body-measurement information for the features shown at the time. Platform availability and supported categories differ. GRITFIT must not write health information unless a separate write feature and permission are clearly presented.
Cloud step history is a separate GRITFIT feature. When enabled, daily step summaries may be sent to the GRITFIT backend so they can appear across sessions and inform disclosed training context. Enabling operating-system health access does not by itself enable every cloud use.
You can revoke platform permission in iOS or Android settings and withdraw the GRITFIT cloud-health choice in the app. Revocation stops future collection available to GRITFIT; it does not automatically delete summaries already stored. Use the in-app deletion control or contact dpo@gritfit-ai.com to request deletion; support@gritfit-ai.com is the backup route.
Connected-health information is sensitive. GRITFIT does not sell it or use it for targeted advertising. It is not used for diagnosis, treatment or emergency monitoring.
