Planned monthly membership with connected training tools and Coach guidance. That is £113-£253 less planned monthly spend than one PT session a week. Not yet on sale.
Great PTs change lives. But not everyone can afford one.
A good personal trainer brings expertise, accountability and human judgement. We have enormous respect for that. But when food, energy, housing and almost everything else cost more, regular one-to-one coaching is simply beyond many budgets. Your progress should not stop there.
Your budget should not decide whether you train with direction.
For many people, personal training is money well spent. For others, the monthly cost makes regular support impossible. A smaller budget does not mean smaller goals, less commitment or less right to good guidance.
A common public UK benchmark for 45-60 minutes outside London. Specialist and city pricing can be higher.
Based on four sessions. Two sessions a week can reach roughly £240-£520 a month.
This is not a like-for-like replacement. An app cannot provide the live observation, technique correction or human relationship a great PT can. The point is that people priced out of regular coaching still deserve something better than guessing.
Sources: PureGym's UK personal training guide gives a typical £30-£65 benchmark outside London, while My PT Hub's 2026 pricing guide reports a UK average of around £50 per session. Actual prices vary by trainer, location, qualification and package. Monthly comparisons use four or eight sessions; calendar months average slightly more than four weeks.
A coach in your pocket that does not start from zero.
GRITFIT brings your goals, equipment, schedule, completed sessions and progress into one connected training record. Coach uses the information you choose to record to help you understand what to do today and what should come next.
- Build sessions around your goal, available time, equipment and experience.
- Use what you actually complete to keep future training connected.
- Ask why a session was chosen or how to adjust when life changes.
- Keep structured strength, cardio, intervals and progress in one place.
Coach can be wrong. It cannot see every rep, diagnose an injury or replace supervised technique work with a qualified professional.

What a great PT does best
Watch how you move, correct technique in real time, read the person in front of them and build a genuine coaching relationship.
What a connected app can add
Give you structure whenever you train, remember the work you record, explain the plan and make ongoing guidance accessible at a much lower planned price.
Long term, great PTs belong inside GRITFIT.
The ambition for Phase 2 is not to push trainers aside. It is to give qualified PTs a platform to build trust, share their expertise and reach people beyond the hours available in their diary.
Build a trusted profile
Show who they are, what they specialise in, their qualifications and the journey behind their coaching.
Share their methods
Publish workouts and programmes so more people can discover and train with their approach.
Earn beyond diary hours
Sell the plans they build and reach thousands more people without hiding the expertise behind the workout.
